Doctor’s Visit

I visited my doctor today and introduced him to my new wife. All is well.

Tips?

My doctor wanted some stock picking tips. I didn’t have any. I mentioned the more attractive medical stocks such as Pfizer PFE and Johnson and Johnson JNJ as examples, but not as specific holdings. For a person already retired, I recommended a dividend blend portfolio and Josh Peter’s Morningstar Dividend Investor newsletter.

[Both PFE and JNJ have a single year price to earnings ratio close to 17. PFE has a high dividend yield. JNJ has an outstanding history of dividend growth.]

For someone in accumulation, I had no specific picks. I emphasized preservation of capital until the market gets better.

My Doctor’s Actions

My doctor has been biding his time in CDs, waiting for better opportunities in the local real estate market and in the stock market.

My doctor is doing exceedingly well.

Have fun.
