Blinded by Emotions

The twelfth tenet of Valuation-Informed Indexing is that the primary driver of investing decisions is emotion, not reason.

I have seen the Great Safe Withdrawal Rate debate close up. It is a marvel to behold.

Emotions are intense. Advocates of the conventional methodology go to great lengths to discredit our findings. They take strong positions. They make strong statements.

Their statements are irrelevant.

They haven’t the slightest idea of what they are talking about. They pretend that our evidence does not exist. They refuse to look at our findings. They make believe that they are knowledgeable. But they have not looked at our theory. They have not considered our calculations. They know nothing of our research. They remain ignorant. By choice. Intentionally, ignorant.

It is amazing.

I can understand some of this, but not all. I will leave the explanations to others. I shall seek positive results. I will keep fact from fiction.

Have fun.
